Feeding amount (additive): during application of ozone, fed ozone amount in unit quantity of some medium (such as water, air). [Unit:g/m3,mg/m3]
Residual ozone concentration: after feeding ozone which operates for a period of time, ozone content remained in unit cubage of this medium from consumed part of ozone and decomposed part of ozone. [Unit: mg/L,mg/m3]
Relation between PPM and mg/m3: PPM is unit of concentration, PPM=1/106 may be mass ratio, and may be cubage ratio.
Such as ozone concentration of 1PPM in air
Under normal station(0℃, 1 atmospheric pressure) is: 1PPM=2.14mg/m3
Under station of room temperature (25℃, 1 atmospheric pressure) is: 1PPM=2mg/m3
Such as ozone concentration of 1PPM in water
Under normal station(0℃, 1 atmospheric pressure) is: 1PPM=1mg/L
Half life: ozone is a kind of very active gas; it will compound to be oxygen by itself even if there is no other substance reacts with it. Therefore, ozone will attenuate by itself, the time for attenuating to be half period is called as half life.
Under normal temperature, half life of ozone in purified water is about 30 min.
Under normal temperature, half life of ozone in purified air is 45-60 min.
